All Driftwood Pens are distinctly made in Coquitlam BC, Canada by Trevor. Each Original Driftwood, RES’Q, Kaleidoscope and Fusion pen is made using material that has been foraged or comes from reclaimed items, the resin is coloured and poured in-house and the pens are hand turned by Trevor. He takes the time to select, mill, cut, turn, sand, finish and choose the hardware for each pen with deliberate intention. Each pen is different from the next making each one unique. Trevor celebrates the natural flaws, the knots, the discolouration and though he has the ability to remake certain styles, no pen is exactly the same – which means no claims of, “I thought it was mine.”

This one of a kind pen from the Kaleidoscope line was created using the off cut resin/wood pieces from previous Fusion pen blanks. The off cut pieces have been fused together with a filler pour of pearl white resin. This is kind of like Trevor’s version of baking a sour dough bread. The hardware selected for this pen has a shiny chrome finish. This line of pens represents a release of blocked creativity which enables you the opportunity to see yourself in the bigger scope of life. Traditionally a kaleidoscope produces various colors and forms, generating dynamic symmetrical patterns, which symbolizes our constant evolution, Trevor tried to capture that essence in this pen. The pen is supplied in a protective reclaimed and re-purposed leather case adorned which adds to the overall appeal to the pen. If you are in the market for a pen that is truly one of a kind and are conscious of using reclaimed material then this is the pen for you.
Each pen takes a standard Cross ink refill and comes with a Driftwood Pens & Gifts personalized COA and story about Trevor’s journey, so be sure to let him know who each pen is for. Who knows, when they get appraised in 100 years on the antiques road show, they may be worth a small fortune ;).
